We were seen by Doctor Soogun-Shah in A&E for my daughters suspected appendicitis and she was very re assuring and professional in her manner. From then we were also seen by members of the surgical team and admitted to the children`s ward later that night to await a scan the following day. Understandably our priority was not of the highest as my daughters symptoms were not the severest and so I am grateful we weren`t sent home to` wait and see` My daughters symptoms were taken seriously from start to finish and much time given to her. We didn`t mind the wait because we knew we were in capable hands and knew there would be a thorough investigation. 24 hours later we were discharged with painkillers having been re assured that the scan showed nothing unusual,though urged to return if any pain got worse or a fever developed. Very grateful to the many professionals involved in the care of my daughter. They deserve a heap of praise.
