TL;DR: Dr Martins is the best GP I've ever had. To expand on this, she combines skills and virtues I would normally expect to be incompatible. She is very thorough with her questions and examinations, yet quite quick. She is very professional and focused on the issues at hand, yet at the same time compassionate and not a bit cold or distant, nor did I ever feel being rushed. I've had some unusual symptoms several times. Each time she listened to me patiently and with interest, asked additional questions, and performed the tests that my later Googling showed to be spot on. The first such case ended with me doing some blood tests and 3 of the several she ordered showed early signs of trouble, which means that her diagnosis was excellent. It is worth noting that she explained to me why she ordered those that she did, which I find very important, as I like to be kept in the loop. She treated one of those 3 issues and advised me some change in diet and life style for the other two. My recent followup showed all 3 problems to be gone. The second problem I had was a sudden fit of vertigo, strong enough for me to go to the ER. They didn't find anything urgent, so I went home and, a few days later, still quite dizzy, I came back to Dr Martins. Apart from writing me an ENT referral, she also suggested some exercises (Epley Maneuver) which I did and was the first time in days that I had improvement, which was quite important because I was travelling only days later.
