Miss Shore performed a hemi-thyroidectomy to remove a stubborn tumour that was causing me breathing and swallowing difficulties. Over the course of a year, I met with Susannah at various stages exploring all options and felt listened to, understood and respected throughout. I was reluctant to have any surgery and put it off until I felt ready to make the decision. At no point did I feel rushed or pressured, even under the extremely difficult circumstances our NHS is placed in right now, Miss Shore was patient, professional and tolerated I’m indecision. Once we agreed a date, I was processed through the various stages of pre and post surgery and at every stage was dealt with by a team of happy, professional and caring staff - a reflection of her diligent and caring leadership!!
