Written by a patient at Macclesfield District General Hospital
21st June 2015

I requested her to come in and not only see my daughter but also to do the required as my daughter was in prolonged labor with fever and ruptured membranes for 7 hours. she had a temperature of 38, and her upper body was uncontrollably dithering. This was her first baby and despite the epidurals she was in constant pain. Being a father and a surgeon myself I asked her to come and do the needful, but she refused and gave instructions to her locum junior doctor. I cannot fault the hospital and all the staff who looked after her. Its just her attitude of refusing to come-even though she was on call, and I was very very concerned about my daughter's well being-she even did not make an effort to re-assure me, just said that I am not coming in for something I know my junior can handle. All of it did hurt me
