I had laparoscopy to remove a large endometrioma, and unilateral ovary originally booked for full hysterectomy but then changed on the day of op to lap as less invasive and less life changing side effects. I felt listened to and like the best decision was made for me which I feel we collectively came to the change of decision to after her knowledge and expertise in my case and the field were explained. The choice was always mine and I was not swayed to change plans, it was what I decided based on what she was able to tell me. The op itself appears to be very successful and an explanation of the surgery that took place was explained to me well with a post op plan as well to deal with preventative care for problems in the ovary that's left in. I felt very confident in the consultant and she kept me at ease.

I saw Ms Biswas in the NHS menopause clinic at Woodlands Hospital. I arrived late due to a traffic problem, but apologised and she still agreed to see me. If you want a doctor to hold your hand and make sympathetic noises then Ms Biswas is maybe not for you. But if you want a doctor who is very knowledgeable, and decisive to deal with your problem directly and clearly then I recommend her to you 100% I found her direct but very knowledgeable, not patronising, asked clear questions to analyse the problem first, then came up with a clear and sensible treatment plan. Examination and tests at the first appointment, no time wasted, excellent, thank you .

I do not recommend seeing this consultant, she was rude, did not give eye contact and spent 5 minutes writing notes only to have me leaving the room feeling very disheartened. My GP referred me to her due to experiencing severe cramping, however my experience with seeing this consultant was extremely poor. She lacks people skills, is abrupt and does not listen. I have now paid to go private as believe my symptoms are perimenapausal. She recommended I take the mini pill or coil, of which I mentioned taking the mini pill before and feeling dreadful, also trying the coil only to have it slip out and have my GP remove it. I do not recommend miss biswas, if possible ask to be seen elsewhere. The actual hospital is a fantastic environment, however this particular consultant is utterly disappointing.
