Miss Wakelin has a most pleasant personality who inspires confidence as an extremely competent surgeon. On 1 July 2014 she inserted in me my wife's spare kidney, and after discharge a week later I have not seen her since. I cannot think of a stronger recommendation for a surgeon than that. I am most grateful to her and to the Renal Team at Queen Alexandra Hospital, Portsmouth who cared for me since then for giving me another seven years of life. I consider myself most fortunate to have been her patient, as I am sure must many, many others.
