Sadly I'm yet another mesh injured woman. For the past five years I've become increasingly unwell and have undergone numerous unnecessary examinations, tests and procedures and subjected to some awful comments from some of the many consultants I have seen. I became aware of the probable link in my symptoms and mesh last year and raised it with my then consultant who was very rude and aggressive and told me "to stop reading the Daily Mail" and that "because of those bloody women, he was going to suspend his clinic until the hysteria disappeared" and that "my implanting surgeon had done a good job!". At this point my trust and faith in the medical profession had been all but eradicated and I didn't expect to feel any differently after being seen by Miss Elneil. I saw Miss Elneil initially in July and within minutes felt assured that my concerns were being taken seriously. She was gentle, kind and very compassionate. When she examined me, she discovered that the mesh had eroded (something the aforementioned consultant had apparently failed to discover, despite the fact that I pointed him to an area that I could feel wasn't right). Miss Elneil explained in detail to both myself and my Husband that many of my problems were most definitely linked to mesh and that it needed removing sooner rather than later. I have had subsequent appointments with her and she is always lovely and ensures that the information in respect of my treatment is fully understood by myself thus enabling me to make informed decisions about my care/treatment. I honestly have nothing negative to say about this lady. She is a credit to the medical profession and an asset to the NHS.

Miss Elneil is my saviour, when I had mesh erosion no one could help me I was in constant pain and agony. I was scared then I was referred to Miss Elneil. On my consultation with her she was so understanding, she listened to me and then she made me feel at ease, by explaining to me what mesh erosion was and what procedures I had to endure in removing the mesh . She shows empathy she is an inspirational doctor, consultant and that’s how it should be across the board in this profession. She is the best !

I would like to to express what an absolutely amazing, Doctor Ms Elneil is, I have been under her care in the UCLH hospital since 2015,since discovering my TVT-O had eroded into my organs. I have had two operations with her both in her Harley St practice and at the UCLH and in both settings she has shown me nothing but compassion, understanding, empathy and she always takes the time to listen to you and she always fully explains a situation. Ms Elneil is working with other expert Doctors to try to see if a final piece of mesh left in a dangerous to operate place, is possible to operate. She has such an amazing way of even when you are going through something horrendous of reassuring you and putting you at ease. I have been seen by many many a Doctors since having my mesh injury in my local hospitals, however I have never come into contact with another Doctor that I can speak more highly of, her knowledge of mesh problems is incredible and her surgery skills are amazing. I believe she deserves to get an MBE for the incredible dedication to mesh injured women.

I have been under the care of Miss Sohier El-Neil for 8 months and am awaiting surgery anytime. At my first Consultation/examination I was put at ease the moment I walked into her presence - I was quite nervous at the time. Miss El-Neil has a certain charisma and I just knew I could trust and believe in her. She knew exactly what my problem was and how to end my suffering, and her professionalism in telling me and then dealing with all the administration - exrays/confirmation/referrals/appointments etc etc (obviously via delegating) was second to none. I cannot praise her enough. Miss Sohier El-Neil is a lovely compassionate Lady. The only way to improve her Team at UCLH is to grant her more staff to train in her field and then maybe this lovely lady can mend more broken bodies. Said with love.
