I saw Miss Elneil for the first time in September 2017. I have had pain and ongoing issues for over 8 years by that stage and every time I saw a medical professional I was fobbed off with you are fine it is all in your head or its fibromyalgia. In June 2017 my husband saw an article about Sling the Mesh and read up about it. He came and told me that all the symptoms they discussed were what I was suffering from. My GP was not happy about referring me so my husband, after a bad night of no sleep yet again from the pain told me to go privately. For the first time in 8+ years someone listened to me. Miss Elneil is one of the most compassionate doctors I have ever met. She is listens to you and I mean really listens and takes what you say seriously. I also had to have a translabial scan which yet again I had to pay for but I wanted to see Miss Elneil armed with everything she would need to make the proper diagnosis. I was booked in for 7th November 2017 and when she came to see me later that evening her exact words to me were "I can only imagine the pain you were in every time you sat down". The mesh from my TOT had shrunk and gone really hard and brittle. It had shrunk down into the foramen and every time I moved it rubbed against the obturator nerve and artery. That night for the first time in absolute years I was able to lie down in bed and actually feel my shoulders touch the bed! Miss Elneil is attentive, considerate and very understanding. I personally cannot recommend her more highly. She works tirelessly to help all us mesh injured women all the while being knocked by her peers for doing it. My suggestion is for the government and NHS (especially the NHS) to wake up to the madness that they have created by allowing a substandard device to be implanted into people and start training medical professionals to remove them. Miss Elneil is but human after all and cannot keep up the pace. The amount of women needing her understanding and expertise is growing daily. I'm lucky I went privately and the aftercare is amazing. Her nurse Mary is a saint. She called me on her day off just to check up on me however I realise that I am very lucky to be able to go private, there are thousands of women out there that can't because they have lost their jobs because of this life destroying operation. If I could bestow Miss Elneil with a Knighthood I would.

My TVT Mesh was implanted 2006, it malfunctioned while I was in hospital. Yet it took me nine years of asking for removal to eventually have partial removal. Nine years of horrendous incontinence, UTI’s, chronic pain, loss of power to my legs, leaving constant leg fatigue, coupled with severe leg cramps, chronic restless legs. The consultant that eventually agreed to operate for removal, had me in tears, blaming every other health issue I had presented with, and NOT the mesh. Operation cancelled four times. FINALLY....VALIDATED... The consultant after my operation, spoke in a conciliatory mode, explained my mesh had been TWISTED behind my pubic bone, it had HARDENED, and I had a KINK in my urethra, also INFLAMMATION on the side with the most SEVERE PAIN, Finally I was told there was two pieces left attached to my abdomen that was unable to remove. Can you imagine how I felt hearing this, NINE YEARS of malfunction. Due to my experience with this consultant, the aggressive tone and outright arrogance, demeaning and humiliating me, I was referred to a psychiatrist. Therefore I as a NHS PATIENT for almost 70 years, feel my experience merits me to a referral where I will be seen by a GIANT AMONG WOMEN, a LEGEND within our NHS, who OOZES COMPASSION and PROFESSIONALISM, every woman under her watch, has had care and treatment and the most difficult of mesh removal completed by Dr S.ElNeil. Full removal should be experienced by every mesh injured woman. Dr Ellneil is the only consultant within the UK who will remove ALL MESH. This is the only way you will get complete peace of mind, when ALL mesh is removed. Finally. I fear ALL surgeons should have a period of mentoring from Dr ElNeil, her approach, compassion, professionalism, EDUCATING the patient, has been the EXPERIENCE of every patient fortunate to be under her care. Please let this be the CLARION CRY of the NHS. Dr ElNeil should spearhead this patient care across the UK.

Suzy is the kindest most patient of doctore, she listens to everything you tell her and doesn't tell you it's all in your head. She performs surgery as efficiently and effectively as she can. She doesn't discharge you until she is satisfied with your progress, she is supportive at all stages of your recovery . Unfortunately due to the demands on her time she is not able to see patients very quickly, she needs support from her seniors to support her in the work she is doing, without her I and many other women would still be suffering.

No other word than angel describes this lady I would trust her with my life. My local consultant who I was referred to for mesh problems could find nothing wrong with me, left me distressed and confused, so as a last resort I paid for a private appointment with her and what a difference!!!. Her knowledge on mesh and belief in it's inflammatory nature soothed my wounded soul and gave me hope that my life might be better with the mesh removed. I literally came out of her office on a cloud as at last I had answers to some of my symptoms. This lady deserves a medal and words cannot describe how good she is. Other clinicians should be sent to her for a lesson in how to talk to patients, never mind how to diagnose and remove mesh.

Miss Elneil is right up there as the most caring, attentive, sympathetic and professional people I have ever had the pleasure to meet. Although I have no direct medical involvement with her she basically saved my partners life! After having issues with her TVT implant right from the moment she came out of anaesthetic, she was met with a wall of ignorance by other so called ‘medical experts’, being told her discomfort was “all in her head”, being put on a string of literally mind numbing drugs, pregabalin being the main one, to control the agony she was in. She was even suicidal at one point as it had affected her day to day life massively. Constant pain, unable to sit, not knowing if she could have ‘intimate relations’ and suffering countless side effects from the drugs she was on. After a lot of research and digging around and with the help of social media we found Miss Elneil. From that moment our lives changed because of this wonderful woman. She listened to her whereas others, including the so called surgeon who carried out the operation, brushed her to one side, fully understood her issues and was sympathetic as she was increasingly aware of the growing number of people, men as well as women, that were suffering life changing devastating effects of this evil product. After several consultations we decided to go ahead with a partial removal of the mesh, carried out by Miss Elneil and her expert team. As a result she is now pain free, can sit normally and go for long walks, carry on with her yoga and spend quality time doing things with her daughter, all of which she could not do before her removal surgery. Miss Elneil has become a champion and heroin for thousands of mesh damaged women and understandably now high in demand because of her understanding and expertise in this field. I would have no problem in recommending Miss Elneil to anybody and everybody who is suffering from the effects of this debilitating so called ‘quick fix’ operation. If angels walk among us Miss Elneil is at the very top. I would personally like to thank her for saving my partner and enabling her to get back to us leading a relatively normal, active life.
