For 15 years I have been going to my local ENT department to have my ears micro-suctioned and for 15 years I have dreaded each appointment. It has never worked and only causes severe pain followed by a red and swollen ear. No other treatment offered or given. Recently, I had some problems with my ear and my GP and the hospital couldn’t help and was referred back to my local ENT department again! It’s pointless going but my ear was annoying me and I was feeling ill with it. After reading the reviews on here, I decided to put my trust in Ms Ahmed. She was thorough and straight to the point. My ear has been infected for a month - no wonder I was feeling ill! I needed it suctioning as the discharge was covering my ear drum and told her about the past troubles I’d had and she reassured me… and to my surprise (and much bravery on my part) it didn’t hurt for 99% of it and the other 1% was bearable for seconds. It is also the first time in 15 years that it’s actually worked (and in 1/10th of the time I would usually have had it done for). She was professional and instantly knew what was wrong and how to fix it. 14 hours after I saw her, my ear is normal: no redness, no swelling, no pain. Definitely will have no hesitations in going to see her again and would recommend her to anyone with ENT related problems and to anyone who has tried micro-suctioning in the past and had it not work for them.

I am very disappointed that it has taken over a year to get my problem sorted out. However when I have seen Ms Ahmed she fully explained what all the problems were with my throat. She then explained how they were going to cure it and by which method, leaving me feeling full of confidence in what she was going to do.

Ms Ahmed was very professional with my daughter who has a social anxiety disorder called selective mutism. I had told her about this prior to our visit and she made her feel comfortable and addressed the questions to myself as requested. Most people try to make her speak and this makes her very anxious. We are looking forward to having treatment and trust Ms Ahmed totally. Thankyou for making her feel so comfortable!
