I have been under the care of the colorectal team at newcross hospital for nearly 7 years they are all fantastic. Miss Elgadel is amazing she goes above and beyond everyday to make sure she always does the upmost for her patients.

Mrs Elgadel for me is the very best there is I’ve been under the colorectal team at Newcross since august 2016 the latest admission in June 2021. I was solely under Mrs Elgadel she was amazing to me went above and beyond to make me feel at ease with my situation. I have been discharged two days ago feeling much better thanks to Her expertise. Mrs Elgaddal saved my life back in 2006. After a 1st colonoscopy was inconclusive, a 2nd revealed a 'potential problem'. She operated on me twice, refusing to give up until she located and removed a polyp containing cancerous cells. After the second operation to remove the surrounding area I was given the amazing news that it hadn't spread. At (slowly decreasing) check-ups over the years, I was always greeted as if I was her only ex-patient. A skill that many other's could learn from. The bottom line is, Mrs Elgaddal AT ALL TIMES kept us fully informed, treating us with respect and honesty. She really is the most amazing woman I have ever had the pleasure of meeting.

Miss Elgaddal operated on my dad several times between 2013 and 2015, buying him an extra two years with his grateful family. She stayed behind Kate in to the evening to see us and was always caring and compassionate. She was always truthful that dad was incurable , yet fought to ensure that she never gave up and gave him extra time , hope and dignity. We bought a little teddy bear dressed as a surgeon for dad to cuddle whilst in hospital. He called it Dr Elgaddal bear ... his angel and my little girl still cuddles it every night. Thank you for the extra time with our amazing dad Dr Elgaddal.

this consultant i met was lovely however i cant say this about her secretary as i have been waiting 9 months to see this amazing consultant to be told shes too busy to see me she has no appts and does not get what i would benefit from seeing her again as a patient with a complex condition i thought i would complain to be told this would delay an appt to see my consultant i resulted in having to travel 2 hours to be seen by a specialist nurse who could help and advice me i am still to date fighting for an appt and can not get past her secretary if your lucky enough to get an appt this consultant is lovely good luck with secretary though
