After my breast cancer at the end of 2021, I received excellent care from the staff at the Luton and Dunstable hospital, and subsequently at the Breast care clinic for yearly mammograms thereafter. The staff there were kind, considerate and efficient.

So impressed with Miss James and all of the staff I saw on the day. All were so friendly and helpful. I wasn't kept long inbetween assessments. I left feeling happy with the care and unstanding I received. Highly recommend.

Miss James was my consultant when I had a mastectomy and reconstruction 5 years ago. She is an excellent surgeon and also extremely kind and compassionate. I’d also like to extend my praise to the whole breast care team at the L&D. Being visited by breast care nurses at home post op was not something I had expected and they were all very lovely. Being able to speak to the breast care nurses with any questions was also very reassuring. Everyone seemed to care which makes a massive difference when you’re a patient.

After my diagnosis with breast cancer life became a bit of a whirlwind; but in a good way. Miss James and all the staff could not have been more supportive. My appointments were arranged for me, my treatment fully explained and I was given ample opportunity to ask questions to allay any fears or worries I might have, no matter how small. Post-op I was visited at home 3 times by Hospital in the Community nurses which was very reassuring, as is the facility to contact a breast care nurse at any time to discuss any worries or issues. All in all it was a very positive experience and I could not have wished for anything more. Amazing. A big thank you to everyone who looked after me so well.
