Thanking this consultant Neerja Gupta very much for listening to me, I had seen male doctors before due to very heavy menstrual periods and asking for a hysterectomy as I had 4 merina coils to help with heavy periods these did not work no one was interested until I see consultant Neerja Gupta she see how heavy my periods were and she suggested a hysterectomy, this is what I wanted, I had been flooding badly and my iron was low due to heavy bleeding I see consultant Neerja Gupta for an hysteroscopy and biopsy on the 11/11/ 21 but due to really bleeding the consultant could only do the hysteroscopy not the biopsy this could not be done, so I was kept in overnight due to the heavy bleeding and I was scanned the next day and allowed to go home awaiting operation appointment, my operation for a full hysterectomy just my ovaries are left in, was done on the 17th December 2021 how quick this was from seeing the consultant on the 11/11/21 the operation went well I have a caesarean scar which is so neat and tidy from day one it’s been dry and healing up lovely, I can not thank consultant Neerja Gupta enough I’m starting the new year without heavy bleeding and wearing big uncomfortable pads I’m going to be a new woman, this will be good for my health and my mental health, I would also like to thank everyone that was involved with my operation from the anaesthetist to all the nurses that looked after me, I couldn’t have been given more care I was supposed to come home on the Sunday on the 19th December 2021 but due to me being sick I was kept in until Christmas Eve the 24/12/21 the sickness stopped and I was allowed home on Christmas Eve they made sure I was fully well to go home also I went for a blood test on the Wednesday 29/12/21 to just check my bloods they phoned me that evening to say my bloods were good no problems this was done in Basildon hospital also the consultant Neerja Gupta phoned me on the Monday 2712/21 to see how I was doing how kind of her to phone me to see how I was, knowing how busy these consultants are, I want to thank everyone that was involved looking after me I couldn’t have asked for better care, kind Regards Sally Pond.
