Due to a high risk of my baby having various chromosomal abnormalities I was referred to Katherine Granger to have amniocentesis performed. Naturally, as any expectant mother this was an extremely stressful time and I was terrified of having the procedure carried out and it was of the utmost importance that the person that carried it out was competent and experienced. Kath Granger is definitely both. I asked a huge list of questions, which were all answered, and the procedure itself went very smoothly. I had the results back within 48 hours and did not suffer any ill effect of the test other than some mild cramping for the first few hours. Her and her team kept me calm during the procedure and explained exactly what was happening and what they were doing when. I feel very lucky to have been under her care and cannot thank her enough for giving us the answers we needed regarding our child.
