Dr Jessica Bate

Where do I start? I am and will forever be grateful that we got Dr Jessica Bate as our Pediatric Oncology Consultant for our daughter. She has been there with us right from the beginning when our daughter was diagnosed with Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma at age 3 back in 2018. She has literally saved our daughters life and been so kind and understanding along the way. Anytime we've had questions she's taken the time to talk to us and our daughter. Through the darkest time of our lives she has been the light to guide our way.

Dr bates is a fantastic doctor who went out of her way to help me even when she didn’t have to as I had aged out of her care

Jessica has always explained every step of our daughter’s leukaemia treatment fully to us, and gives us plenty of time to digest information and ask questions when needed. She has always been reassuring and compassionate, and shows us that she genuinely cares. We know our daughter is in the best possible hands under her care.

Jessica has been my sons consultant for the past 4 years, i cannot put into words how amazing she is, from day one she has been soo supportive to all of our family and goes above and beyond , at times treatment was horrific for my son and she talked through every thing step by step in a way that we could understand exactly what treatment and medication going forward would entail!! She has speaks to my son about how he is feeling and has always been such a great listener and support network somebody we can turn to for honest answers, we cannot thank her and the amazing team on piam brown and throughout the hospital for the exceptional and incredible help and support

Dr Bate is one in a million. She came into our lives at our lowest point, and guided us through with compassion and kindness; Dr Bate goes over and above for her patients and their families. We are extremely grateful for all she has done for us.

Dr. Jessica Bate provided nothing short of extraordinary care for our daughter when she was diagnosed with cancer at just two years old. During one of the most overwhelming and frightening times of our lives, Dr. Bate managed to make the impossible feel bearable. Her compassion extended beyond the medical—she treated our daughter and our family with warmth, respect, and sincere concern. The follow-up care has been equally exceptional. Dr. Bate has remained thorough, attentive, and committed, giving us confidence and peace of mind every step of the way. We are deeply grateful for everything she has done. Dr. Jessica Bate is a truly outstanding physician and a remarkable human being, and we cannot thank her enough for the care she has given our daughter and our family

We met Dr Jessica when our -then 11 years old- son Jacob was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma. We found ourselves thrown into the unknown- our lives suddenly upside down. It is the worst fear of every parent, looking at their child being so poorly and not knowing how to help them. However, Jessica's kindness and empathy was so comforting. She took the time to explain the diagnosis, treatment, all the procedures involved, the risks too. Most importantly, the way she talked to Jacob, and involved him in all conversations, asked him questions and always showed so much care, meant he trusted her completely and was never afraid to talk to her. She - and her team- ultimately saved our son's life, for which we will forever be grateful. We trust Jessica completely with our son's health even now he has been out of treatment for a couple of years.

Dr Bate was a fantastic doctor for our daughter whilst she was receiving treatment for leukaemia. Her ability to ensure you always felt listened too despite any distractions ongoing due to kids, or how insignificant or minor the point being made may have seemed, is a real quality and skill. We always felt confident that our daughter was receiving the best possible treatment and care. We will always be grateful to have had Dr Bate as our doctor during the most trying of times and can only recommend her to anyone else.
