From my first appointment after being referred by my GP for ? Breast cancer & having biopsies done she explained everything to both myself & my husband & never made us feel like any question was stupid. In every consultation she was compassionate & positive with us both. Throughout my journey she was informative , knowledgeable & always took the time to explain everything to me & my family, always allowing us time to ask questions. Although I know she had very busy clinics my consultations never felt rushed & informed me of all the choices I had available When I had a good response to treatment & chose to have reconstructive surgery , she came & saw me on the ward before I went to theatre & asked a breast care nurse to follow up the day after surgery to see how I was managing When I attended my last appt & she gave me the news that I needed no further treatment that she really was delighted for me & explained what follow up care in future I would have I felt the whole way through my journey I was treated with compassion & was given the best care At all times My tough journey was made. More bearable having Miss Clayton throughout
