I have never met such a kind hearted, warm, genuine doctor in my life. I’m so lucky to have had Georgina as my doctor through such a hard and difficult time. Anyone who has the pleasure of having or meeting this amazing lady through this journey of their lives, they are very blessed! If all doctors could be as genuine and big hearted the world would be a great place! Thank you

I first met Miss Bitsakou at the end of August 2018 when I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Miss Bitsakou took the time at that first appointment to explain what they had found and also the treatment I might need. I saw Miss Bitsakou throughout my treatment and she performed my mastectomy. She was so understanding and caring throughout which helped to take away some of the fear at a time when you feel so vulnerable and frightened. When I first met her she said give it a year. In the past year I have been through chemotherapy, a mastectomy and a diep flap reconstruction. Her professionalism, advice and reassurance throughout has been second to none. I could not have asked for anyone better. Anyone who has Miss Bitsakou as their consultant will be very fortunate to be in her care. Patricia

My mother Maria was Georgina Bitsakou’s patient. We cannot express enough how professional and personable Miss Bitsakou has been through this whole scary process, she gave the time and attention to explaining everything without causing any fear or distress. She has lots of compassion and appears to go Out of her way to make sure you feel reassured. The members of staff in the ward my mum was in following surgery spoke of Miss Bitsakou so highly saying “Miss Bitsakou is lovely , everybody loves her“. They are so right! at a scary time she is the right person to be in the cate of. My mum’s operation went really well and mum has been left with quite an incidental scar. She is a true professional as well as a genuinely kind and caring person and a credit to her profession, the NHS and High Wycombe hospital, i wouldn’t hesitate in recommending her. Maria & Lisa

I was diagonosed with breast cancer in April, 2019. Having been referred to Wycombe Hospital, I was very fortunate and lucky to be under the wonderful care of Miss Georgina Bitsakou. From the first consultation with her, I felt so reassured and knew I would be very well looked after. To find out you have cancer is a very stressful and frightening time in your life, and is quite a shock. All through my diagnosis and treatment Miss Bitsakou explained everything to me positively but honestly, and I knew exactly what was going to happen to me. If she said she would telephone me or arrange a scan or any other appointment, it would happen and be done on time. Miss Bitsakou always had time to talk to me, listen and explain any conerns or questions I might have, and to reassure me. Understandably, when I had my first operation, which she was performing, I was very nervious and worried about it. When I was waiting just before the operation she personally came to see me, told me not to worry, and yes I would wake up from the anaesthetic, and gave me a hug. I really appreciated that and felt much calmer. I needed to have a second operation which she previously explained might be a possibility, so I was prepared for it, after which she came into recovery and told me all had gone well. I have now finished my radiotherapy treatment, which again was fully explained to me and the duration of it, again accurately and I knew what to expect. Other woman who now find themselves in my past situation will be very lucky to be under the care if Miss Georgina Bitsakou. Angela.

If you get the pleasure of having Miss Bitsakou as your consultant you are a very lucky person. Form the start of my journey, when I was told there was an issue and I met Georgina, I knew I was in safe hands. Apart from her obvious in-depth knowledge and understanding of breast cancer, her whole way of interacting with me and the family was outstanding. Her attention to detail when explaining what was wrong and the treatment options was without fault, listening and responding positively to ensure I understood what was going to happen. The surgery itself worked out as e explained and I recovered quickly from my experience. The way she interacted with her colleagues was no less special, collaborative and very appreciative of what they had did for her no matter how small it was. All the staff I have spoken to about her could not stop saying how good she is. What I can’t probably relay clearly enough was how good she is with the personal side of my treatment. Her personality and positive approach was second to none, I could not have wished for any better. She remembered conversations a few weeks earlier about my daughters birthday party and asked how it went, how my mother was taking the news and so much more. After my surgery she came and spoke to us personally to tell us how things went giving even more reassurance. Any hospital would be lucky to have her on staff and would be foolish to lose her. I can’t tell you how lucky I feel I am to have met her and have had her as my consultant. Andrew
