Miss Bruce operated on me 10 years ago for Bowel Cancer . I found her and her team most professional and supportive prior to my operation which was diagnosed stage 3 Camcer of the Colon. The follow up from Miss Bruce was first class and no detail was missed thus ensuring a positive outlook for the future . Ten years on and still around thanks to Miss Bruce and all of her team at Leighton . A great asset to Leighton Hospital . If you are under the care with Miss Bruce then you are in very safe and warm hands . My Wife and Familly are very grateful for prolonging my life Thank you Dennis OByrne

Was seen by Mrs Bruce in 2011 as a bowel cancer screening check had found some abnormalities. These turned out to be cancerous so I had a bowel resection operation on December 19th 2011 performed by Mrs Bruce. She was so compassionate and informative and gave me the confidence to have the operation without fear of failure. Operation was a complete success and she discharged me on Christmas day 2011. A wonderful surgeon who explains everything to the patient and she also has a lovely sense of humour. When I returned to Leighton hospital in Dec 2012 to have my Stoma reversed I wrote on my current bag " Merry Xmas and thank you" ..when I came to after the operation the stoma had gone and written on the plaster covering the wound was "you are welcome "..a wonderful lady and an asset to Leighton hospital.. Thank you to you and your team.

Went in for hernia RE repair was put in the surgeon's list as original surgeon not available. Had 8 weeks in bed couldn't walk drive etc. Testicles like tennis balls! No follow up only after nearly one year of being ignored and several GP visits was an appointment sent. As original surgeon said was doing a referral back to Mrs Bruce. Original surgery cancelled Jan 2017 waited 3 months for discharge from theatre letter three miles down the road so GP could see why op was cancelled. Wouldn't recommend this hospital to anyone as too many mistakes. Communication between depts and consultants in same office in some cases is abysmal. Avoid avoid. Now believe out back on waiting list for another attempt at hernia repair. How long wait for your guess is as good as anyone's!,
