Today I was discharged from Ms Gumma's care and I was strangely very sad about this. Ms Gumma is truely one of the most kindest, most caring and genuine individuals I have ever met. From my first appointment she put me at ease & tailored each appointment to my needs. I am the biggest worrier ever but Ms Gumma didn't let this phase her, she would always put my mind at rest & I always left my appointments smiling. Ms Gumma was the first Health Care Professional to actually listen to me and how I was feeling. Ms Gumma had a diagonosis for my gynechological issues but also suggested I had other problems and referred me to a gastroenterologist. I had been suffering for years and from a 10 minute appointment Ms Gumma got to the bottom of it & she was not wrong, I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis. For my gyne issues Ms Gumma explained eveything to me in a clear way but also didn't push her opinions on what should happen. She advised me on her medical opinion and I had a laparoscopy. I was not worried one bit when I knew Ms Gumma would be performing this. Ms Gumma saw me both before my surgery and after which I felt was so lovely of her to do. This really does show how caring Ms Gumma is. While performing my laparoscopy Ms Gumma found 3 large cysts but got straight to removing them. When I came round from surgery Ms Gumma came to see me but I had a seizure. Ms Gumma again showed how caring she was and stayed until I recovered. She had arranged for me to stay in the night to make sure I was ok. She has so much compassion. I then needed the Mirena coil fitted as a way of treatment after my surgery. Again Ms Gumma put all my worries at ease. A few months after this wasn't working for me so again Ms Gumma listened to my feelings and what I had been going through and removed this for me. We then decided on what was best going forward. Thank you so much Ms Gumma, you have really changed my life and changed my view on the whole health care profession.
