Miss Waghorn is a fantastic surgeon. She not only operated on my sister Lorraine who had breast cancer and needed a Masectomy she also done my breast reduction. She put you at ease at all times and explained everything to me and my sister. Even after the operation she carried on giving excellent care and attention.

I went into see Miss Waghorn because I had been for a scan at my local hospital. I was sent to Liverpool Royal Hospital wondering what was wrong with me. Miss Waghorn told me that a tumour had been found in my stomach known as a Paraganglioma tumour. It was extremely rare, literally one in a million and needed to be removed pretty quickly. I was worried but Miss Waghorn put me at ease and told me what the operation and time in hospital would involve. When I went in for the operation Miss Waghown and her team were excellent. They would visit me a few times a day to ask how I was and kept my parents in the picture as they were worried about me and needed constant updates too. I had the operation and the night that I came out of theatre Miss Waghorn told me that she was staying in hospital to ensure that I was ok. I was really impressed with that and my parents were too. Miss Waghorn always had a smile on her face and was very relaxed and I believe that this rubbed off on me too. It would be very easy to get very worked up and panic in my situation but I had total trust in Miss Waghorn which helped enormously. Around 3 months after the operation I have seen Miss Waghorn a few times in her outpatients clinic and my improvements have been excellent. The tumour was removed and I will continue to be seen as an outpatient. Both me and my family could not have been happier with Miss Waghorn since she told me that I had to have this operation performed.

I cannot praise Miss Waghorn highly enough, her dedication, compassion, skill and leadership is quite staggering. My mum had a very advanced, rare and difficult tumor, Miss Waghorn and her unbelievably beautiful team held our hand every step of the way, and beyond. No stone was unturned, no avenue wasn't explored, all our questions were answered and she gave her time willingly and freely to us all, as a family, without hesitation and without any arrogance which accompanies so many in her field. Miss Waghorn and her team always listened to us, our concerns and fears and did their utmost to alay them if they could but they never mislead us, never lied to us and were totally honest from the very beginning but in a very compassionate way. Miss Waghorn and her team, Miss Shore, Rae Brindle, clinical nurse Rachel, they cannot be too highly praised and I could not recommend them highly enough. I was, god forbid ever in need of a surgeon again, my only hope is that it was Miss Waghorn's specialty and she would see me!

I was recently underwent an operation under Miss Waghorn's care. Not only is she a exceptional surgeon but also a very compassionate human being. She is an inspiring leader and has build a very cohesive team who are very efficient and prompt. She is an individual who goes the extra mile to sort her patients problems and provides a comprehensive care rather than just focussing on the surgery letting go of the patient when her part is done. She took lot of efforts in my after care and personally saw to it that all my issues were resolved. I feel lucky that I was operated upon by such a surgeon as her

Totally dedicated to the care of her patients, whom she treats with the utmost respect and honesty. In my dealings with her she has displayed both a tenacity of spirit coupled with a most powerful intellect and is quite without arrogance of any sort. The resolution of my case, which was both rare and complicated, is testament to her skills as a surgeon. I would have no reservations in recommending her to anyone who requires endocrine surgery.
