Having had a right side inguinal hernia repaired about 10 years ago by Martin Kurzer, I did not have the slightest hesitation in contacting him when a second hernia became evident on my left side. First time around I was astounded by the minimal post-operation discomfort (I did not need any painkillers although Martin supplied some in case) and the rapid recovery I experienced. Although it was not very troublesome prior to the operation, Martin advised, after the repair, that this left side inguinal hernia was actually pretty big. However, as I write this 13 days after the operation, I can state that although I experienced a fair bit of swelling at first, I have once again had zero pain, and the initial swelling is fading fast. The day after my operation I was out to dinner with friends, and shopping with my wife the day after that! Martin is the consummate professional and is always accessible to discuss treatment, concerns, and recovery. He has contacted me a number of times, post op, to check that my recovery has been OK. He's simply the best!
