Hello to anyone reading this, Back in February 2016 I had an operation because of an inguinal hernia in my right groin area. And then about a year later a very similar op. on the left hand side. Both of the ops. were performed my Mr Kurzer and I can honestly say that it is clear to me now, over 8 years after the first of the two was carried out, that both were 100% successful. Many years ago (maybe back in my 20s or 30s) I was told by my GP that I would probably need a hernia op, at some time. And he was right. During late 2015 I developed a significant problem in my right groin and, although I was offered an NHS op, without too much of a wait, I chose to have it fixed by Mr Kurzer privately. The operation went very smoothly - it was done under a local anaesthetic and there was no pain at all. I then stayed in the London hospital overnight and the next morning walked out of the hospital with a rucksack (not a heavy one) on my back. And then after a 3 hour train journey back home got on with my life - and within about 10 days it was almost as if I had never had the problem. My first real exercise was a trip to a local swimming pool after about 14 days - it took me about 6 months to get back on a bike. My experience after the second op. (in early 2017) was pretty much the same. At that time I was 70 - and I am now 77. And I do not have any problem in either the left or right groin area. And during October last year (2023) I was able to cycle 35 miles without any pain or discomfort. One really amazing fact about the way Mr Kurzer did the ops. is that he closed up the incisions (both about 4 inches long) afterwards without using any external stitching - and now in May 2024 there is very little sign of any healed wound. I believe that both ops. were were carried out using the mesh method of repair. This sometimes gets a bad press but I can honestly say that, in my case, everything is now 100% fixed - no problem with pain or swelling in either groin. So I say, without any hesitation, that, if you need an Inguinal Hernia op. you can trust Mr Kurzer.
