This GP is a rarity in this day and age . . . . listens, gives you the time you need, knows his patients, and best of all knows all about his job. I've been under his care for some years and thankfully did'nt have much contact until the fallout from a major illness treated in hospital. Afterwards when I was discharged, he was just brilliant. He'd call me at home to ask how I was doing, and he'd pick up the phone and speak directly to my consultant if there was an issue that needed resolving. So a great communicator as well. You really feel this guy is on your side. Of course the downside is that the whole world beats a path to see him and it can take a while to get an appointment. If only, if only the NHS would take a leaf out of his book and produce more doctors like this. Everyone locally knows how good he is yet the powers that be probably don't like him because he makes such a special effort for his patients and our present-day pathetic senior managers think time's expensive. If only they knew that Dr Hollington's kind of doctoring always works out the cheapest. Quality always does in the end.
