Having metastatic lung cancer and been treated by Dr Appel for over 5 years, i can honestly say she is a breath of fresh air. She is positive, supportive and has a fantastic approach to her patients as she is so loving, caring and friendly she immediately puts you at ease. In terms of my palaitive care she appears to be constantly researching your next line of treatment to enable her to have it ready for you. Unfortunately she has returned to practice in her home country which is our loss and their gain.

Wiebke made me feel like a fraud. After I told everyone that was going to die from lung cancer she put me on Afatinib which has made an improvement beyond my original belief reducing the mass by half in five months. Only seen her frown once and she seems more excited than me with the progress. Now I have to let people know that I am getting better, as I wrote above, makes me feel like a fraud. Thanks Wiebke.
