I was referred by my GP to an NHS consultant who recommended MOHS Surgery. He referred us to Dr Ghura. Dr Ghura explained, in an easily understood way, what would need to be done and how he would do it. His manner of explaining and listening to my questions removed all my worries and made me feel at ease. He ensured that I was happy to the surgery and the treatment went ahead. The result is better than I thought possible and so I would recommend this doctor to anyone.

I was originally referred to an NHS dermatologist by my health centre GP as I had a small long term growth on the side of my face that was showing signs of change. Unfortunately the NHS waiting time became intolerable (12-24 months) and the growth started to interfere with my saving routine. I, therefore, chose to enter the private sector and having used the Alex at Cheadle before I asked to see one of their dermatologists specialising in facial work. Hence I met Dr Vinci Ghura. A real nice guy. He listen to my concerns. Gave me a thorough examination and explained why my long term growth had changed and also that I had some other smaller growths that could be treated with cream. He suggested that the large one be removed by a small operation. Again he explained everything throughly including both the risks and costs. I decided to go ahead. Dr Ghura and his team were great. I felt in good hands and totally happy with the procedure. The team explained how to proceed with post op care and a final examination showed that Dr Ghura had done an excellent job. I would fully recommend him and his team to anyone who needs specialist facial work.

I have had a number of MOHS treatments with Dr. Ghura. The latest involved removing quite a large BCC from near my eye and this involved many stitches. Two weeks later, you would have to have looked very carefully to realise I had had surgery such is his skill. Strongly recommended.

I was diagnosed with a Basal Cell Carcinoma on the edge of my upper lip earlier this year. I was advised to have MOHs surgery due the difficult location of the lesion, and Dr Ghura was recommended to me. I’m so glad I made the decision to see Dr Ghura. He is so highly skilled, knowledgeable and professional. He confirmed the diagnosis and booked me in for the MOHs surgery. Dr Ghura explained each step of the procedure, ensuring I was pain free with local anaesthetic throughout. After sutures were removed Dr Ghura advised how to care for the wound to achieve minimal scarring, and has monitored my progress in follow up appointments. I am delighted with the result, and you would hardly know I’d had it done. I highly recommend Dr Ghura, I can’t thank him enough for his expertise and excellent care throughout.

The experience - from confirmation of my Basel Cell Carcinoma (BCC) diagnosis through surgery to recovery - was first class. At all points I was given clear and accurate information which diminished any anxieties. I was home a few hours after I entered the surgery - which was as pleasant an experience as anyone could hope for - lovely people and an excellent facility. After a few days of discomfort, I was able to resume most activities. 2 months after surgery there was little visible evidence that I had had the procedure. Now - 4 months post surgery - there is no trace of the BCC or its removal. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr Ghura and his team and thank them for taking me through the procedure so smoothly.
