Dr Sharma was thorough, systematic and patient, and explained my mother's condition in terms both she and I could understand. He was reassuring to my mother, and planned positive steps to help manage her condition.

Dr Sharma took great pains to explain the nature of my mother's condition and how he would approach its further investigation and management. He explained it simply for my mother, and in more complex terms for me. It was a reassuring experience for both of us. He has a gentle and patient approach, which is comforting for a confused and worried elderly person.

My mother is 90 years old, is hard of hearing, struggles to walk, is in considerable pain, and gets a little confused. Dr Vijal Sharma was compassionate, caring, understanding, humble, very respectful, and just the nicest of doctors. He listened to mum, he understood her concerns, he dealt with her problems, and within 45 minutes mum had been rayed, and prescribed painkillers to help with her pain. Dr Sharma invited me to look at mums X-ray, he explained the X-ray to me, and told me why he thought mum was experiencing so much pain, and what he felt was the best way forward for her. He offered to organise a visit from an Occupational Therapist, who would be able to suggest help in the home to make mums life easier and safer. All this was achieved in less than 45 minutes! Fantastic service! Couldn't have been better, and Dr Sharma was such a charming, caring, considerate, compassionate, and patient doctor. Mum and I couldn't have asked for any better treatment. Just wonderful. Thank you , Dr Sharma. Thanks also to the lovely nursing staff, too!!

I visited the RAU today at 1400. i was seen straight away by Dr Sharma. He introduced himself and shook my hand. He listened to my story and made notes. He was attentive and caring. i felt extremely comfortable and confident with him. He was careful in his explanation of my potential diagnosis, but also made it clear that he wasn't a respiratory specialist and therefore wasn't able to fully answer my questions. I liked that as he wasn't trying to be something that he wasn't qualified or experienced in. I cannot make any suggestions as to how he could improve his patient contact. I would happily see him again and trust him to look after me or any of my family
