I saw Dr Mendis whilst under another consultant because I had a horrifically painful episode on the 26th of November. I tried to see my neurologist but he was unavailable I was informed. Dr Mendis not only explained more about how my current medication works and when it may start working. He understood my entire medical picture and what seemed to be a trigger to worsen my symptoms. He understood why I have a sensitivity to temperature and the pattern of my pain. I was very relaxed in the consultation and at ease. He is easy to talk to and I agree with his overall diagnosis which is something my other consultants have been on the fence about for a while.
