Dr Vanessa Cowen

I have seen Dr Cowan over a number of years. She is always caring and appears to have time to listen to me. I feel she takes my concerns seriously and aims to find a solution.

Doctor Cowen is one of the most helpful Drs I have encountered. She listens, understands and offers advice. Due to health problems over the past few years, i have had to visit more than most. I’m never made to feel any problem is too small. Great doctor, pity there aren’t more like her out there.

Having spent much more time in the company of doctors than I would have preferred, these last few years, I'd particularly like to thank Dr Cowen for her patience, her consideration and her dedication. She has acted as a single point of contact for my family, when we needed it, and follows up with me regularly - often by phone - to make sure hospital appointments, tests, treatment plans etc are being carried out as they should.

This was a very frustrating and disappointing appointment. This is not the first time they have not listened to me or taken me seriously. I am so disappointed in GP's, this was not the first time that an issue that I have had, that has had a serious negative impact on my life has not been taken seriously.

Dr Cowen has looked after me and my family for a long time, but particularly helped me when I was diagnosed Diabetic and showed me how to control and improve my condition. I cannot recommend and thank Dr Cowen highly enough.

Dr Cowen put me forward for special programmes which needed funding and I was successful. After a 3 year battle with my health, I am now ready to go back to work and I am very grateful for all the help and special care she gave me. She was always very helpful and understanding and was very clear and practical in her direction and advice.
