I was her patient on and off for period 5 years to have my memory assessed I have hospital consultants in my family they told her that I wad suffering from manic depression mixed in with psychosis. The consultant would not listen to them and said I was suffering from dementia not depression she has been sending letters back to my GP saying this. My depression got to the point I became clinically depressed so my family took me for a second opinion to another psychiatrist who gave me the diagnosis of clinical depression mixed in with psychosis he also found that I had a brain tumour. HE told my GP this is the problem and that I do not have dementia my GP is not very happy with the little bromwich centre were Dr usha srivasta works because they were told I had a medical condition which was untrue and my depression progressed from mild to severe. Dr srivasta should listen to her patients and their families they know them best and not bother with running mini mental status tests all the time. My family told her about the problems in my family not once did she try to discuss them with me. She thinks that every person over the age of 60 is suffering from dementia even when they are not she tell the difference between dementia and mental health problems.
