Dr Thalheimer was extremely helpful when he dealt with my 86 year old mother who has a degree of dementia whilst she was an inpatient at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital. She had been getting recurrent severe infections of her gallbladder and I felt that she was in a loop of admissions, treatment, discharge and re-admissions without the underlying cause being addressed. I left a message with his secretary and Dr. Thalheimer had the courtesy to call me back, listen to my concerns and discuss with me the various options available. Once the best path for my mother had been decided he called me back a short while later having arranged an appointment with the relevant consultant for later that day. By virtue of his patience, understanding and willingness to go the extra mile my mother has had the appropriate treatment and the issue has been resolved for which both my mother and myself are very grateful.

On the ball, communicative and good bedside manner. Genuinely cares and was efficient resulting in a successful ERCP op.
