I Oct 2014 I was in a very bad place and didn't want to live, attempting suicide and putting myself in bad situations. I never thought I'd be where I am today, back in work, on 1 tablet a day and enjoying life. It took my sister to section me for me to realise I wanted help but once home I couldn't get help. My sister took me out of my GP surgery and registered me at a village surgery and everything changed I was sent to see Tim Millward through my GP and he's changed my life. I know I have worked hard and I still have to work hard as its down to my mind set I have bad days but the good out ways the bad and its down to the help I have been lucky to receive from Tim, he listens and gives me ideas of how to cope......thanks Tim

Dr. Millward put me at ease from my very first appointment with him. (He actually took the time to learn my unusual name and has pronounced it correctly ever since!) I view him as a genuine, caring doctor who has a great gift for listening and empathizing. Because of these abilities, I was able to open up emotionally and therefore was often able to get to the core of what my real issues were. He offers a strong, stable presence and I know that Dr. Millward and the entire team will be there to offer support for other patients as well as myself, especially if in crisis. Example: I spoke about something that was greatly bothering me lately and after listening intently, he offered a profound insight into my thought processes. He is a quiet, highly perceptive, gentle man. I have heard other patients and collegues echo similar praises. We, in Daventry are privileged to have such a skilled, compassionate and dedicated mental health team. Note: My only complaint is that I wish I could have longer, on-going sessions however the reason I don't has nothing to do with Dr. Millward or the team, but has to do with NHS funding/ cuts.

Just had a meeting with Dr. Millward with my son, his patient. We had to address some unpleasant realities as my sons treatment was not reaping the benefits that we had all hoped for. This was in no way the fault of the doctor nor the therapist involved, just a case that the problem had become too serious and that very specialist help is now required. This could not have been easy for the the doctor, who is not a specialist in this field, to hear. But he listened carefully, made a few suggestions, that had already been tried by an earlier carer, and then said he agreed with our assessment, that more specialist help was needed. Also he agreed that the time had come to find help further afield. I know that he will continue to help our son in every way that he can, and will remain one of the few honest professionals that we have come across in this difficult area of mental health care. This is a very good man.

Visited patient on a weekly basis showing a great deal of interest together with great willingness to try different forms of medication. Doctor was very approachable and down to earth and nothing was ever too much trouble. He did a great job. No constructive suggestions to add.
