I attended Dr Chan's clinic today with my father. Despite having to come to terms with a few of life's changes recently, my father was treated respectfully and with great understanding and kindness. This particular 'trip to the doctors' had the potential to be very stressful but I'm delighted to say that we were both very reassured and have been able to pass that on that reassurance to the rest of the family. Many thanks!

A year ago I was suffering from clinical depression, a friend took me to my GP . Within days I had a psychiatric nurse visiting me at home. I was seen by Dr Chan who was totally supportive and reassured me I would get better. It took several attempts to find the medication which suited my needs but throughout ,my nurse liased with Dr Chan and my excellent psychologist with whom I spent several long sessions. Later when I was much better I attended a course of CBT therapy which gave me tools and also a group of people suffering in a similar situation, one no longer felt alone. I am now in a much better place, better equipped to deal with my problems the main one being the death of my husband four years ago. I would encourage anyone with threatening mental health problems to seek help as soon as possible, do not blame yourself or struggle on alone, help is available. Dr Chan and his team have been extraordinary and I know they are there should I need further help in the future.
