I went with my Mother yesterday to see Dr Chan. This consultation was with regard to previous memory tests and brain scan. Dr Chan spent well over an hour with us giving extremely thorough feedback and when he felt the time was appropriate gave us a diagnosis. His manner with my Mother was amazing and the support he was able to offer us both there and then and in the future was in my opinion well above his call of duty. He was extremely understanding and gave us both comfort in knowing the way forward. Dr Chan listened to us and I felt that time was not an issue. I found his approach first class. Thank you Dr Chan.

Dr. Chan put myself and my father at ease - he explained things clearly, answered all our questions and took time to listen.

Dr Chan was very thorough and took time to describe the process to us. He showed great care and consideration, and a very friendly approach. He was obviously very prepared for the session and knew a lot of details about Byron, is medical history, and was very clear about the reasons for the questions, and what four areas he would cover to be able to provide a diagnosis. He was very keen to gain details of the current situation, and asked open questions continuously. We felt very reassured that Byron is in safe and expert hands, which is very important for the family.

I have crossed paths with Doctor Chan within my work role as a registered nurse, however my 89 year old dad had a appointment last week by video link. Doctor Chan was really kind and lovely to him. He explained what the appointment was all about and went through the various types of dementia with and explained what treatment was available to him. He did this in a clear and concise way as my dad could potentially be very confused. Doctor Chan spent almost an hour on our call and was very accommodating towards further appointments to able to fit around my work commitments. Thank you so much Doctor Chan.

I had a telephone consultation with the mental health team yesterday and was so pleased that it was Dr Chan taking the appointment. I have not seen him for sometime. My mood was suddenly boosted as he is so helpful. He listens carefully and is very understanding. I have, since last having a consultation with Dr Chan, been kept on a maintenance dose of medication, with the impression I will never improve. Over the years Dr Chan has tried getting my medication to work for me, but I am very intolerant to nearly anything. His arsenal (as he calls it) didn't give the correct fit for my illness. However yesterday he has found a new approach which we are going to trial. Dr Chan is very thorough, conscientious and personable. He is a gentleman through and through and I count myself very lucky to have him looking after my mental health. He goes way beyond what is expected and I thank him for that.
