Listens to what you say and is very helpful.
Dr Thomas Gayton is kind, approachable, sympathetic and a good listener. He is able to get to the heart of the matter efficiently, but doesn't make you feel rushed or foolish. I trust him with the information I give him and I am grateful that he takes seriously the things that worry me. I like the way he comes out of the office to collect his patients from the waiting room and and I think he also has a good sense of humour. I left his room this morning feeling more relaxed about the issue worrying me and reassured that I could make another appointment to talk about the same issue at a future date if needs be. I really don't think my care could have been improved in any way. Thank you Dr Gayton!
I have had life-long mental health problems and was very concerned when my doctor of 9 years retired and I moved but Dr. Gayton who has been my doctor now for nearly two years is brilliant. Support with mental health problems is very hard to get as it is not an illness that can be seen. I rely upon a doctor who has knowledge and compassion for the daily torment and makes it clear he understands and is supportive. I have had doctors in the past that have been cold and uncaring and said that it is all imaginary and I just have to get on with life like everyone else. This kind of treatment has lead me to dispair and suicide attempts. I cannot say in words say how very grateful I am to be a patient of Dr. T Gayton today and know he plays a huge part in my determination to not give up. Thank you Dr. Gayton you are a treasure.
Felt like he really listened and had time for my worries about my 2week old boy. Gave me some great advice which completely put my mind at ease and I was very happy to be told that I can bring him back as often as I need and he will be seen on the day. (I worry sometimes that doctors think I am coming to often/worrying unnecessarily).
Finally a GP who really cares about you! You can see how he really pays attention at what you are saying, listening very carefully and not interrupting until you have finished.
He likes to get to the bottom of the problem and you won't have that awkward feeling of 'helplessness' like with other GPs who won't take you seriously.
Definitely totally recommended!!
