Dr Alam took charge of me and my epidural during my emergency cesarean on Nov 3rd, 2017. Having him there during the procedure was extremely reassuring and made me feel at ease and that me and my unborn child were in safe hands. He gave me all the information that I needed and requested, and ensured that I was comfortable throughout. He is one of the people I feel privileged to have met during my stay in hospital and I will never forget him.

Dr Alam was my anaesthetist during a difficult and - for me - frightening labour. By the time he arrived I was really, really stressed out and miserable. Dr Alam was extremely calm, extremely reassuring, friendly and professional, and I immediately felt in safe hands. The epidural was administered quickly and efficiently. Dr Alam then popped into the post-natal ward the next day to check on me; my husband and I had a lovely chat with him and once again, his professionalism and bedside manner were spot on.
