Dr Tara Jones

Dr Tara Jones, saved my life. I suffered with excruciating period-related symptoms from the age of fifteen and after 10 years I had experienced, medical gaslighting, gross negligence, misdiagnosis, being told that ‘everyone gets period cramps’, ‘you have pcos so you’re most likely infertile’, ‘it will improve when you fall pregnant’ (I was fifteen) and that there was no help nor treatment available to me. It got to the point last year where I could no longer live with the daily pain, which had continued getting worse and left my bed bound most days and hugely depressed. I went back to the GP as a last resort, you can imagine what my second and final option would have been. Having explained all of this to Dr Tara Jones I was met with ‘that’s unacceptable, you cannot live like this. Let’s sort this out.’ In so many words and she launched into strategy, including yet another scan. I won’t bore you with the in between, but her intervention led to where I am now. In recovery from an intense four-hour surgery where my endometriosis was finally diagnosed and, even better, completely removed. I never thought I would experience a life without daily pain. Thanks to Dr Jones’ kindness, knowledge, empathy and strategy, I have a strong chance of having just that. Thank you Dr Jones. I can’t express my gratitude in words. I would recommend any woman (or girl) struggling with this kind of issue to book in with her specifically.

I think this Dr is one of the most difficult I have ever met. She has refused to give repeat medication to a young man three times with mental health problems and refused to see him. He nearly went into mental crisis With my aged father she gave him the wrong antibiotics because she had not tested for ecoli. Luckily another dr did! I cannot recommend her

Dr Jones is both kind , caring and understanding . She is confident knowledgable and professional . She will listen and work with you so that the care you recieve is correct and suitable and she always follows through with the treatment to ensure your health problem is resolved or treated so you feel better . She Always has time to listen and is very supportive . And always gives her time willingly without rushing you through your appointment . One last thing is that she explains things thoroughly

Dr Jones is always kind and listens to your concerns. She puts you at your ease and ensures you make a joint decision regarding your care. I never feel that she thinks I am wasting her time.

I have taken my son to see dr Jones twice, both times she mis diagnosed. The first time I visited as my son seemed to have very heavy breathing and I was told he would just grow out of it, I went back to see another doctor who referred us straight to a&e. The 2nd time my son had oral thrush, but dr Jones said it was a viral infection and would go away on its own. It was only when my husband was visiting his own dr, he had a quick look and diagnosed it straight away and he was then correctly treated with drops.

Dr. Jones is an amazing GP. She always makes you feel that you matter. She makes time to listen and explains in detail what the problem is and how to approach it. Nothing is too minor or too insignificant and she always encourages you to come back if the problem continues. Thank you, Dr. Jones for your gift of combining professionalism with compassion.
