Dr Rezk carried out my mother’s consultation following her day of tests at the National Amyloidosis Centre at London’s Royal Free Hospital a few weeks ago. My mother is not at all well following a car crash last year but Dr Rezk’s bedside manner was very approachable and he took the time to find out all about her, discuss the current plans her doctors have for her, as well as then advise on how he thought her treatment should progress and suggested other diagnostic avenues for her doctors to explore. A blood test during the day showed that she needed an urgent blood transfusion and Dr Rezk was very proactive at arranging this with her usual renal ward / dialysis unit and used the ensuing conversations with the registrar as an opportunity to put some of his ideas / questions to him. Since then, Dr Rezk has also taken the time to ring and find out how my mother is getting on. All in all, Dr Rezk has been a very knowledgable, kind, charming and professional doctor. We would be very pleased, and feel in safe hands, if our paths crossed again on my mother’s medical journey.
