I went with my mum (Dr Brannigan's patient) as I was worried about the strong medication she was on for 2 years. I was looking for other alternatives, the doctor never put my mum forward for a psychiatric review but rather she had been dumbed down and shelved, unfortunately my mum is deteriorating with no care for her own medical improvement (such is her condition). I feel Dr Brannigan should have intervened and organised a review, my mum put her on a pedestal and went with her suggestions and has hence gone down hill. We now have an appointment made with another doctor, fingers crossed that we get further with her! Dr Brannigan needs to know her limits i.e. she is not a psychiatrist and to be sympathetic to family members who care and only want to help! I'm sure she is generally a good doctor but in this case I feel angry that she has let this happen to my mum!

Very reassuring and thorough. Always puts through tests if you ask for them and she thinks they will be beneficial. Very kind, thoughtful and always tries to put you at ease. Will always ask around the issue at hand - to see if there's something more sinister lurking underneath, for example. She works as part of a very good practice where there appears to be good teamwork and good communication. Very much a professional and a welcome addition to the surgery.
