I was seen by Mr. Lidder in an Emergency Red Cross Facility at a Tough Mudder event in Cirencester, where I dislocated my shoulder. Having been transported off the course into Mr. Lidder's care, I was immediately impressed by Mr. Lidder's expert medical knowledge of the many reduction methods for dislocated shoulders, his excellent bedside manner in discussing his approach with me, seeking input from me in determining the best reduction method for my particular situation and keeping me informed as he worked. The professionalism and effectiveness with which he organised his team and took decisions to progress the situation resulted in the successful reduction of my shoulder without the need for a transfer to hospital. I am very grateful that it was Mr. Lidder who happened to be in that Red Cross Tent on that particular day. Having had extensive dealings with orthopaedic surgeons in the US and the UK through the years for various injuries and surgeries, including my shoulder, I felt Mr. Lidder provided me the best care I could have possibly received. Thank you very much Mr. Lidder and please also pass on my thanks to your colleagues.

I had my hip replacement performed by Mr Nunn and Mr Surjit Lidder and believe i was in the best hands. I am 5 weeks post operation and i have not had any problems; my recovery has been remarkable. The operation was explained to me before hand and any questions answered. My short stay in Guys hospital was also great and i was looked after so well by all the caring nurses in Sarah ward. My scar is much smaller than i thought and already looks fine. I saw Mr Surjit Lidder recently for my first check up and he explained in detail all my x rays and patiently answered all the questions that i had brought with me and went through movements of the hip that i queried. I left feeling very positive and extremely lucky that i had such great professionals looking after me!

I foolishly took the advice of a local GP and ran a Tough Mudder event with a knee injury. When I injured myself I was waiting a while before being delivered to the great care of Dr Lidder. He was very concerned for me and even gave me his mobile number if the A&E didn't do everything he said for them to do. It took me a while for me to be transferred to the hospital. His bedside manner was as equally impressive, he truly went above and beyond trying to sort out my affairs on the day, whether it was missing friends or me just trying to get my finishers t-shirt. He had a great knowledge of trauma relating to my leg and I wasn't concerned for my well being during of of his treatment. Thank you Dr Lidder.
