Reviews
Dr Gada makes a tough topics easier to tackle with his kind and caring way with children. He is patient and takes time to carefully question and challenge to fully assess the child, whilst keeping them calm and happy to engage. Really cannot fault his approach and am very pleased with how we have been treated whilst under his care.
Professional & friendly approach of the doctor made the child feel easy and comfortable, which made the whole experience satisfactory. The reports provided after the assessment were precise and with informative links.
Appointment for medication review for ADHD. As always Dr Gada was great . He communicated so well with my son, asking him how he felt about the medication and if it was helping him.
Dr Gada engaged well with my very anxious young son trying different ways to communicate with him in a respectful and age appropriate way. He has an open, approachable manner and the assessment was extremely thorough.
As my son has poor concentration and attention the assessment was long (3.5 hours face to face) with a break. It may have been better to split the assessment into 2 shorter sessions as the extent of his learning disability could not be determined as my son was ready to go home. It was helpful to be given the diagnosis there and then in a sensitive way.
The detailed report followed soon after. We would have liked more specific strategies personalised to our son for our main concerns as it felt like there was a multitude of links to self-directed reading which was overwhelming although with time we are navigating our way through this and they are helpful. A follow up would have been really good to have been offered. After an emotional report to read detailing all of the many issues our son has after we felt Dr Gada really got to know our son and us as a family we are now left to continue this new journey without anyone overseeing it from a professional point of view which feels quite daunting. This is not a criticism but a fact. The "what happens next" is down to us as parents.
Our son came away happy from the assessment and for a child so direct and will say what he thinks has not said anything negative which is a huge compliment!
Overall we really like and respect Dr Gada and are grateful to him for his time to get to know us and our son we just wish we could see him again!
Dr Gada was very understanding and great with my son, he eased his in gently and checked with me that I was happy on serval occasions! We spent 4 hours there and he gave him lots of breaks when he felt he needed it.
