My husband and I attended, with some trepidation, my appointment and I have now seen Doctor Harikrishnan twice in 2023 and on both occasions I have been impressed by his welcoming manner and his open approach to what has turned out to have been nocturnal seizures. I liked the way he first apologised for keeping us waiting and explained that this was because he needed to read all my notes. He asked about my recent history, was pleased that my husband was there, as this greatly increased his ability to make an accurate diagnosis. He turned his computer screen towards me, to explain various points, which also greatly reduced my anxiety. We were also given ample opportunity to ask questions. I am happy to highly recommend Doctor Harikrishnan as a compassionate and caring consultant. He's been efficient, open and genuine.

I had an appointment with Dr Hari following a seizure and I was expecting to rule out epilepsy and be diagnosed with NEAD. He ruled out epilepsy but put my physical symptoms just before my seizure down to fainting and disregarded my actual seizure. I mentioned NEAD because he didn’t and he made comments to suggest I might have it but his knowledge and opinion of NEAD is very outdated and he discharged me back to my GP. I feel like he very quickly made up his mind what my diagnosis should be and then adjusted his notes to fit his personal opinion. I am pleased that he has confirmed that it is nothing neurological but he made it quite clear that he thinks NEAD is just faking an epileptic seizure in-front of people for attention.

Dr Hari has been amazing, he never gives up in his care of his patients. He did and still does everything he possibly can to help my father who has an extremely rare neurological condition, and was in intensive care for a month and in hospital for nearly 6 months last year; he takes a real interest in him still, for which we are most grateful.

Having been diagnosed with MS thirty years ago I saw this Dr following a severe flare up. My MRI showed new lesions. But he over turned the diagnosis saying I didn't have MS and he was the top consultant in this field. Previously he offered help and told me he would get to the bottom of what was wrong , no help or further dialogue has been forthcoming and I am left in limbo with no help for the illness three other eminent neurologists and tests have diagnosed as MS. I can no longer walk, or drive my vision is continuely blurred the spasms are excruciating and my world has fallen apart. I suffer from other illnesses which with the stress of this one opinion have been exasabated. I no longer have the energy to fight or ask for a second opinion. According to a help group I have spoken to I am not the first patient who has had their diagnoses taken away then been left in limbo by this Dr. I'm sure he is very good with some of his patients but I would not recommend him.
