Share review of Dr Soniya Mathew
I don't tend to complain about NHS services as i am very grateful to have them. However, this Dr is what you would call a wild card. Both myself and my mother have had odd experiences when seeing this GP.
I went to Dr Matthews for my mental health and seemed intent on questioning me about everything aside from the problem i came for, i was in tears for the entire consultation and left feeling belittled after her cruel interrogation.
Separately, my mother visited her after her cancer treatment and obviously had quite a few questions about the side effects to her body. My mother left feeling confused and also belittled, she was told she needed to make 3 separate appointments as the Dr felt bombarded.
I am sure Dr Matthew's is a well skilled Practitioner but her bedside manner needs addressing so people feel comfortable asking questions about their mind and body. I can understand GP work can be overwhelming and repetitive but it is not acceptable to take frustrations out on Patients.
