Probably the most fantastic consultant I've ever been lucky enough to be treated by/meet. Dr Thomas Gibson is exceptionally skilled, professional and an expert in her field, but with the rare combination of compassion and a wonderful manner. She treats me with respect, listens to my concerns and views, makes me feel confident and relaxed in treatment and achieves brilliant results. I feel blessed to have been referred to her some years ago, and go out of my way to see her. Thank you, Dr Thomas Gibson.

My last colonoscopy was with Dr Latchford and he was so amazing I was worried that no one else would be as caring, compassionate and totally professional and skilful. My second one was under Dr Thomas Gibson and I shouldn’t have worried. She was equally as amazing as Dr Latchford. I am a very nervous patient and she totally understood and kept me calm while the procedure was being carried out. I can’t thank and praise Dr Thomas Gibson and St Marks Hospital enough. This bowel screening service is a truly fantastic unit with world class consultants

Dr Thomas-Gibson is a consultant Gastroenterologist with a specialist interest in endoscopy. She has worked as a consultant since 2006 and is currently the Clinical Lead for Endoscopy in The Wolfson Unit for Endoscopy at St.Mark's Hospital, a designated World Centre of Excellence for Endoscopy. She also works at the London Clinic in Harley Street London.
Her special interests are in Bowel Cancer screening, the detection and treatment of pre-cancerous polyps (growths) in the bowel; colonoscopy for evaluation and treatment of bowel disease; diagnosis, assessment and management of inflammatory bowel disease as well as the diagnosis and management of other gastrointestinal conditions.
She has an extensive track record in research and teaching in the field of academic endoscopy and focuses on high quality and safety in endoscopy. She is dedicated to delivering excellent care for all patients within the departments in which she works.
