Dr Simon Taggart helped save my life to which both myself and my family are truly thankful and I cannot recommend Dr Taggart highly enough. Dr Taggart's professional, caring and calming manner made me feel at ease straight away from the moment I walked into his consulting room and his professional thorough attitude resulted in him diagnosing a life threating issue straight away. Not only did he diagnose my issue within minutes he ensured that I understood fully about the diagnosis and put steps and a plan in place immediately for further tests and follow up procedures to carried out that morning. During a very worrying time, Dr Taggart made himself and his team available to me for further communications. If I was concerned about anything, or had any further questions prior during or after the ongoing tests and procedures they would always be able to answer any of my concerns, which made me feel that I was in very safe hands. I am delighted to say that I am now recovering from the majour operation that I went through in 2019 and cannot thank Dr Taggart highly enough as without his immediate diagnosis I may not be here today. If you ever have the misfortune for the need to see a consultant or doctor then you will do no better than making an appointment to see Dr Taggart. Thank you so much Dr Taggart. Andy and the Gill Family.

I arranged an appointment with Dr Taggart as I had been suffering with a chest infection/chest pain for a number of weeks - I had been diagnosed with Pleurisy and told it should clear within a week yet the chest pain had returned. Rather than simply accept the previous diagnosis given by other Doctors, during my consultation Dr Taggart carried out a thorough examination and spent time talking with me to try uncover any potential reasons for the ongoing pain. Based on his experience, Dr Taggart strongly suspected that I had been misdiagnosed. As well as arrange a ct scan (just 2 days later), Dr Taggart also took the time to review my notes at the hospital where I had been diagnosed with Pleurisy and called me ahead of our appointment to put my mind at ease. In my follow up appointment, the ct scan showed that as he suspected, I had a fractured rib and this was the reason for the ongoing pain (not pleurisy!). Dr Taggart talked me through the scans in a really clear manner so that I could fully understand the problem, provided advice on pain relief/next steps and answered any questions I had. I would highly recommend Dr Taggart to anyone who is looking for a chest specialist or that wants a second opinion - in my experience, Dr Taggart clearly knows what he is talking about!!

I reached out to Dr Simon regarding my mother's ILD. My mother currently resides in Mumbai, India and travelled to the UK to get a second opinion and make sure that the treatment she is receiving out there is correct. Dr Simon made us feel comfortable from the moment he met us and was extremely helpful. He spent over 90 minutes to go through all her reports (over 3 years medical history) and explained us what was going on with my mothers health. He also recommended the future treatment options and assured my mother that she is going to be fine. I highly recommend Dr Simon.

I went to Dr Taggart with a range of symptoms including infections, alopecia, chest pain, iron deficient etc. After a year struggling with my local GP and even being admitted to hospital, we were still non the wiser. I was recommend to see Dr Taggart who in the first appointment was able to diagnose (with ct scan confirmation) that I had lymphoma, a type of blood cancer. Dr Taggart sat there and took all of my symptoms in and even did an examination (he was the first doctor to do an examination!) that felt lumps etc! He did not dismiss me once or make me feel like I was wrong for coming which my previous doctors had. He organised my ct, bloods and biopsy within a week. I genuinely believe if I didn’t see him that we would still be oblivious of what was going on and it could of been a lot worse! Instead I have completed 12 rounds of chemotherapy and I am in remission! Thank you!
