I was referred to Dr Shiroma by my surgeon and she has provided excellent clinical oncology care through fully understanding my particular case. She uses the most up to date technology and research to determine the most successful treatment route for me and I feel very comfortable with the suggestions she makes. I feel good and am well on the road to recovery. Thank you for everything and see you in six months..!

Professor Leonard handed me over to Dr Shiroma De Silva-Minor when he retired so that let me know immediately this was a very special oncologist. She is extremely welcoming, professional, warm, caring, highly intelligent, knowledgeable and I trust her completely. She listens intently, is up to date with new medical science advancements. She is articulate and any concern is immediately dealt with. She is approachable and reassuring. I feel safe and cared for. I feel very lucky to have her as my oncologist.

EXCELLENT ONCOLOGIST!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This wonderful lady has been a pillar of strength to me and is keeping me alive today!!!!!! I cannot express my gratitude enough to Shiroma as she is an angel sent from above, I know for a fact that without her I would not be here today to look after my mother who has end stage Alzheimer’s. Shiroma is truly inspirational and I can’t thank her enough for putting me on the correct treatment for me to live a better and pain free life right now. She is so kind, caring and knowledgeable regarding this horrible disease Cancer. She is at the top of her game and you wouldn’t get another Oncologist or human being like her!!!!!! If you are not getting the best care where you are now then I would highly recommend Shiroma as she treats you like she would a family member and that’s priceless!!!!!! I can’t praise this lovely lady enough as she has been so kind, caring, compassionate and a great communicator for you as there is nothing this inspirational lady doesn’t know about breast cancer. She has been my oncologist for ten years now and has given me so much support and understanding regarding metastatic breast cancer and quite honestly without her I don’t think I would have bothered with treatment as I looked at my diagnosis as my immediate death sentence. But Shiroma has shown me that there is still life to live while on the best treatment for me to help me live a lot longer than I ever expected and for that I am so lucky to have Shiroma by my side even after all this time. If you are scared about your diagnosis then Shiroma is the one to turn to for help as she really is one in a million!!!!!!!! Thank you Shiroma soooo much x

Dr. DeSilva made me feel comfortable and at ease with her calm and friendly manner. She is approachable, kind and caring. She listens carefully to questions and concerns, takes the time to talk through the various treatment options, explaining the risks and benefits to help me make an informed decision. She has great knowledge and expertise in her field, and is up to date with the latest research/ clinical trials and new treatments available. She always made my accompanying daughter feel very welcome and involved. At times, during my treatment for breast cancer, when I wished to follow a slightly different path, she acknowledged and respected this and was very understanding. She supported me in the choices I was making, after I explained my physical and mental needs. When I told her I wanted to attend a family wedding abroad, she scheduled my treatment plan so that I could attend the wedding, which was a great boost to my wellbeing. I am immensely grateful for her supportive role during my radiotherapy treatment, and I thank her from the bottom of my heart for healing me. I feel safe, reassured and confident in her care, and highly recommend her. Thank you, Dr. DeSilva for holding my hand through this scary journey.
