Dr George is clinical lead. The Department missed my relatives serious skin illness in 2023. Subsequently they nearly died and spent three months in hospital. They have not recovered fully from the ordeal and may never. Communication with the department is woeful. Even local GP’s and the hospital receptionists complain about it. A disastrous experience for us.

Very caring and knowledgeable and reassuring. First person to take an interest in my problem which has defeated so many other dermatologists and to start treatment that worked. He took his time, speaking clearly and at a level I could understand instead of medical jargon. Went out of his way to ensure the drugs were available at my local pharmacy. Great doc, kind and empathetic.

I saw Dr George after my skin started reacting to sunlight quite severely. He was professional and knowledgeable. He prescribed medication which helps me to manage my affliction.

This Consultant consulted my 8 year old son on 4/11/17. He presented as very abrupt, aggressive and unprofessional. He kept pointing his left forefinger at me in the presence of my son. I felt very threatened by his behaviour. I kindly asked him to refrain from this behaviour as it was intimidating my son. He failed to provide a definitive diagnosis for my son. He rudely told my son right in his face that hIs hair loss was alopecia areata and has to live with it. When I enquiried about his blood test/DNA results he statedthat there were all normal. I asked him whether his thyroid function was normal and he replied "Oh it was missed actually" He was reluctant to make an apology as I had been informed that it would be a full blood test. Ithen approached the receptionist and requested for a print out of the test results and kindly provided these to me. I was informed by the receptionist that he had made decision to discharge my son. The results showed a few abnormalities and deficiencies. The DNA antibodies swab read as still pending. My child and I remain traumatised and confused by this Dr's behaviour and clinical practice. I have considered making a formal complaint to PALS and referring him to GMC and other registered professional bodies.
