my husband had a stroke six months ago and has sincde had two hospital admissions last one has involved him being diagnosed with left ventircular failure , has been seen regularlty by the podiatry for diabetic foot infection and it was them whom referred him to vascular team and consequently he has had his right toe amputated. Gp only seems to be the prescriber and has had no follow up since july 2020 post stroke . My husband had fortunately not had any previous medical history .we do feel let down by not only the Gpand also the surgery , as posssibly if rfesults from CT angio and echo had been reviewed he potentially may not have had to have toe amputated. feel very let down butr aware these are extremely difficult times at present
