I wish to express my deepest gratitude to Dr Sharan Karwal for the prompt and decisive action she took in sending me to A & E when she saw me on 22nd September, 2020 (despite my own reluctance to believe there was much wrong with me). As a result I underwent emergency bowel surgery which, had it been delayed, might well have had life threatening consequences.
