Dr. Akker is marvellous. He's kind, patient, understanding and altogether lovely: just as importantly, he is an extremely competent doctor who gives you, as a patient, the peace of mind you need.

Dr. Akker always puts me at ease and listens to my concerns . I feel that he knows my medical history and is able to reassure me and explain any queries I may have . I was dangerously ill with Cushings disease and though it has taken a while, I now feel that I am on the road to recovery - thanks to my excellent treatment at St. Barts. So - Thank you VERY much !

I have known Dr Scott Akker for a few years now. He is so polite and friendly and very understanding of my health care. When I have been on Garrod ward and as an out patient he has been brilliant. I think he is a great doctor, it is always a pleasure to see him.

I refer patients to Dr Akker from another hospital. I completely trust his specialist and general opininion. He has a good eye for what is going on, he is absolutely dogged in pursuing matters if he is not happy and will not leave a stone unturned if he thinks it is important for the patient; he can also see when nothing needs doing other than observation and reassurance. My patients always give such good reports once they have seen him and his communication with their GP and me is excellent. I shall have no hesitation in referring to him in future and can wholeheartedly recommend him. I would see him myself or recommend him to a family member.
