Dr Sarah Slater

Dr Slater held my hand, stopped my sobbing and steered me straight through everything. I cannot speak highly enough of her - great bedside manner, great explainer, great soother, great encourager and very entertaining to boot. Always looked forward to my meetings with her; very much appreciated her whole philosophy of care. Will never forget her first words when she started treating me: 'What is it that you think you know about your condition?' She then dismantled every wrongheaded fear I'd had for six months and put me back together again. Dr Slater is a national treasure. If she is in your corner it just doesn't get any better!

This doctor for me is the most caring and lovely person in this world she puts your mind at ease on the very dark days I'm still suffering from the mental part of cancer but still cancer free

Dr Sarah Slater treated my late mum for the last 4 years of her life, up until January 2018 and I cannot fault her professionalism, her caring nature, her straight talking and above all her compassion to help cancer patients. She treated my mum with total dignity and threw every Kind of treatment at my mum to help with her palliative care, up until The end of life. This lady is truly exceptional in her field. I’ve never known a Dr to Be so involved in their patients care and life like Sarah slater, and I would recommend her to anyone . She has a very direct but empathetic manner. She listens carefully and provides information and engages in discussion appropriately tailored for a particular patient. It goes without saying that she is highly competent, as would be expected of any of the dedicated consultants working in the NHS.

Sarah has a very caring , carm and efficient manner. She should be commended for the great work she is providing to St Bart's and it's patients.

Sarah Slater was my treatment manager during 2005 while I was suffering from breast cancer. I cannot speak too highly of her. She was clear, empathetic, patient and caring and went out of her way to calm my anxieties. Attending Dr Slater's clinic every several weeks was the one of the few high spots during a grim time.
