My son was treated by Dr Sandhya Vaidyanathan in the childrens department and her team including Nuse Laura May and Dr Jay in the A & E department in September/October 2019. Both consultants and their teams were absolutely amazing making both myself and my child feel relaxed and assured we were going to be looked after and treated/supported with empathy and care. Throughout the process I felt listened to and I felt like a suitable plan was put in place which exceeded my expectations with regards to timings and attention to detail. Dr Sandhya Vaidyanathan was professional and informative answering all of my questions without making me feel uncomfortable. She also knew Harry and remembered all of his details name and likes etc from just one visit. I felt that my child's health was really important to her and the team and didn't feel rushed. Nurse Laura May was exceptional when she had to put a cannular into my sons arm as this was a real challenge and very distressing for him, but Laura dealt with it in a calm and gentle way assuring us all and getting the job done. Dr Jay was fantastic with my 7 year old son and really bonded with him immediately asking questions in a way he could understand and answer. Dr Jay also made us feel relaxed and a priority to him and we were seen in excellent time. I had no delays or cancellations to any appointments, if anything when I arrived early I was seen early :) Thanks you so much to both teams whom do an amazing job and should be recognized for this. I would definitely recommend Queens.
